LOVE: THE HEART OF CHRISTIANITY

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 13:1 TPT – “If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages,
and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love,
my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.”

Love is the foundation of Christianity. Everything we teach, believe, and practice
eventually leads back to one thing — love.
That’s the gift intimacy with God gives you. It teaches you to love the God-way,
a kind of love that transforms you from the inside out.

The God-way of loving is perfectly captured in 1 Corinthians 13. It’s not just a chapter;
it’s the template. Love is woven into human existence, and not knowing how to love properly
can cause deeper harm than most of us admit.

It’s possible to be religious and still lack love. Many people use Christianity as a shield
for their refusal to love individuals or even entire groups. But genuine love expresses itself
in respect, patience, kindness, mercy, and understanding.
Jesus didn’t limit love — He extended it even to enemies.

The New Testament repeats this truth over and over: love is central.
So here is the call:

Love in the Christ-template.
Love without fear or restraint.
Love the way Christ has loved us.

Call to Action

Practice love deliberately and consistently.

Dear God, teach me to love the way You love.
Let my life reflect Your heart, and help me embody the Christ-kind of love every day.

Amen.
